101 in 1001

I've been inspired by Mackenzie Horan of Design Darling to create my own 101 in 1001 list!
I have 1001 days (or 2.75 years) to complete my list.
Start date: August 22, 2013
End date: May 19, 2016



1. Come up with 101 things. {October 2013}
2. Inspire someone to make a list of their own.
3. Create outfit of the day, inspiration, etc. segments on the blog.
4. Interview someone (not for the school newspaper).
5. Go to England and Ireland.
6. See a production of every Shakespeare play. 
7. Have creative work {photography or writing} published somewhere.
8. Find a good and consistent balance for blogging (i.e. twice a week)
9. See what the fuss is about the left coast (trip to California, anyone?)
10. Meet a role model of mine (Jane or Eleanor, you're welcome to visit me!)
11. Re-read all 7 Harry Potter books ...
12. ... and Jane Austen novels. 
13. Take a boat ride (ferries don't count!)
14. Re-organize my room/desk/closet to the perfect setup, finally. Donate more clothes.
15. Make 5+ collages/an Inspiration Board - it's good for the soul.
16. Take a road trip with my best friends. Who knows where to?
17. Knit my first sweater and/or hat.
18. Get a 50mm lens. (And maybe a polaroid camera?) December 2013
19. Paint something. I don't care how good it looks, just make something!
20. Drink water every day for a month.
21. Renew my lapsed vegetarianism.
22. Go a month without gluten, see how you like it.
23. Send Christmas cards one year. {December 2013}
24. Get a massage.
25. Have a fabulous "big-year" birthday celebration for my mom. {October/November 2013}
26. Go hiking/ camping.
27. Find my perfect lip color.
28. See all Audrey Hepburn movies.
29. Stick it out through a horror film.
30. Try (at least) 5 new foods.
31. Attend a Red Sox game.
32. Figure out some of my family tree.
33. Spend a week(end) with my younger girl cousins for some quality bonding time.
34. Perform at a GSA concert with friends (if there are a lot of people, they can't hear me sing, right?)
35. See a double feature.
36. Have a Moonrise Kingdom day - run away (locally) with a friend and explore!
37. Perfect my hair care regimen.
38. Go for a bike ride in Central Park.
39. Complete a Pinterest DIY.
40. Read 100 new books.
41. See 20 new movies.
42. Learn to eat with chopsticks.
43. Send 50 handwritten (or typewritten) letters. {17/50} December 2013
44. Buy a classic vintage garment from a consignment store.
45. Discover 10 new favorite restaurants.
46. Cook a meal for family or friends.
47. Convert at least two more people to a favorite show of mine.
48.  See ten classic films. {1/10} September 2013
49. Befriend a blogger.
50. Learn two new hairstyles, and wear them in public.
51. Have at least one month with under 3 tabs open (I tend to hoard my tabs and have a million pages open/minimized on my laptop...yikes).
52. Have a picnic. 
53. Attend at least two concerts. {1/2} November 2013
54. Begin portraiture (start with friends, etc.)
55. Donate to a worthy cause in someone's name.
56. Volunteer for at least 50 hours. {5/50} December 2013
57. Intern, hopefully at a publishing organization.
58. Find someone the perfect birthday present. 
59. Have a tea party.
60. Make macaroons.
61. Run a race.
62. Host a brunch or dinner party.
63. Write myself a letter for future me (and/or someone else!)
64. Go one week without hitting the snooze button! Extra points if you get up before 6:15.
65. Redesign the blog - one day it'll be pretty!
66. Write a letter to someone (i.e. in a political office, an author) about a cause I believe in.
67. Update the school's online newspaper.
68. Branch out - meet new people, make new friends.
69. Spend more time in the heart of the city. Once a week is not enough!
70. Find a café or other place to work - get out of the house!
71. Teach someone to knit.
72. Invest in a monogrammed necklace (and possibly other monogrammed Marley Lilly items!:)
73. Be able to better define my aesthetic.
74. Submit to Rookie.
75. Leave a friendly note in a public place for a stranger to find and smile about.
76. Go three or more months reading one book a week.
77. Go to Coney Island.
78. Try surfing.
79. Leave an unexpectedly large tip for a waiter or waitress.
80. Have a cupcake focus group - which bakery does it best?
81. Try a Cronut, or other newly invented dessert (the Townie looks good too!)
82. Go on an amusement park harness trampoline!
83. Get personalized stationery.
84. Find the perfect planner. {December 2013}
85. Get a book signed.
86. Make a short film with friends.
87. Watch every episode of Friends. {Season 1} December 2013
88. Watch all 3 Godfather movies.
89. Watch the sunrise and sunset.
90. Update nail polish weekly for 3 or more months.
91. Learn calligraphy
92. NaNoWriMo! November 2013
93. Whether or not NaNo is a success, write a novel anyway!
94. Become an editor of the paper.
95. Act in one more play before the end of school. (Inside or outside of school)
96. Spend a day in the kitchen trying out new recipes with a friend.
97. Have a classic, over-the-top "slumber party!"
98. Solidify my web presence (flickr, tumblr, blogger, instagram, etc.)
99. Teach someone to speak basic French.
100. Put $10 into savings for every goal accomplished.
101. and of course, go to college. (Side note: future Emma-don't freak out over the admissions process. Pick a school you love, have a blast, and forget about the overly intense people and places-they just aren't worth it!)
